Copper vat from the French Alps, originally used in cheese making. Very lovely verdigris patina, solid rim, watertight. A couple of bruising marks/indents at the base of the vat which are hard to see in the photos but almost as hard to see with the naked eye because of the colouration of the copper across the surface.
