Lidia Masllorens was born in 1967 and studied Fine Art at the University of Barcelona in her home country Spain. Lídia’s artistic practice focuses on close-up portraits, predominantly of women, whose expressive faces and penetrating gazes reveal unexplored inner worlds. This work is made up of 6 pieces carefully brought together. The portraits are painted in black acrylic, which is then removed and washed away using a mixture of water and bleach. This technique yields the colour palette that distinguishes her work, featuring shades ranging from pink to white and black to grey.
